Computer Science - Introduction
Computing is taught to all Key Stage 3 students and all students have one hour of teaching per week. Computing at Key Stage 3 encourages all students to develop their understanding of how computers work, to be able to create computer programs, to become safe and effective digital citizens and to increase their knowledge in a variety of applications.
At Key Stage 4 all students are taught ICT for three hours per fortnight, which will lead to a Cambridge Nationals qualification. In addition, students have the option to choose Computing for five hours per fortnight as a GCSE subject.
