Tracking Careers
🎯 1. Log in to Unifrog
- Students access www.unifrog.org using their school’s login (usually via an email invitation or unique sign-up code).
- Once logged in, they’ll see their personal dashboard with tools for career exploration, applications, and reflections.
🧭 2. Explore Careers
- Use the “Careers Library” to browse hundreds of job profiles.
- Each profile includes:
- Typical duties
- Required qualifications
- Salary ranges
- Pathways (apprenticeship, university, etc.)
- Videos and real-world examples
- Students can “favourite” careers that interest them — this automatically logs them in their personal profile.
📓 3. Log Career Interactions & Activities
Students can use the “Activities” or “Interactions” section to record everything related to their career journey, such as:
- Work experience or shadowing
- Talks or visits from employers
- Careers fairs
- Volunteering or enrichment activities
- Meetings with career advisers
Each log entry usually includes:
- Title / description of the activity
- Date
- Type (e.g., careers talk, interview practice)
- Reflection — what they learned or how it affected their career ideas
These logs help them track progress and provide evidence for personal statements, CVs, or Gatsby Benchmark requirements.
🧩 4. Use the “Careers’ Interests” & “Personality” Tools
- The Personality Quiz and Interests Profile help students identify careers and subjects that match their strengths.
- Unifrog suggests matching careers and university courses, which can then be saved or logged as part of their career journey.
📜 5. Build a Careers Record / CV
- In the “CV/Resume” tool, students can turn their logged activities into a professional document.
- It automatically pulls data from their logged experiences and reflections.
🧠 6. Reflect and Update
Students are encouraged to:
- Revisit their Careers Library favourites
- Update reflections after work experience
- Set career goals
- Use the “Competencies” tool to evidence skills (e.g., teamwork, leadership)
🎓 7. Share with Teachers or Advisors
- Teachers and careers leaders can review logs and provide feedback.
- This helps schools evidence progress towards the Gatsby Benchmarks for career guidance and build in any other opportunities needed for students.
