Tuesday 27 January 2026 Quantum Theatre Macbeth Production On Thursday 22nd January, Year 11 were lucky enough to watch a staged production of Macbeth, and it proved a memorable experience, and Year 11 were impeccably behaved. Seeing Shakespeare's language brought to life on stage helped clarify the play's tension, themes, and characters in a way the classroom alone cannot. The actors delivered confident, engaging performances, particularly in moments of high drama, and the epic sword fight scenes were gripping, fast paced, and convincingly choreographed. What stood out most, however, were the interesting directorial choices; particularly was the decision to have King Duncan present on stage, silently watching Macbeth during his soliloquy as he considers regicide. This choice intensified the moral pressure of the moment and made Macbeth's inner conflict feel immediate and unsettling. Overall, the production was dynamic, thoughtful, and accessible, deepening our understanding of the play while remaining thoroughly entertaining. It was an excell
Wednesday 12 November 2025 Remembrance Day Form representatives commemorated Remembrance day on behalf of their tutor groups by laying a commemorative cross to honour the fallen. The rest of the school observed a two minute silence to pay their respects.

Thursday 9 October 2025 Colchester United Community Foundation Colchester United Community Foundation run an Inclusive SEN Holiday Football Camp. The camp is designed specifically for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in the Colchester area.
