Ethos & Values

Aspiration, Diversity, Endeavour

These three words summarise succinctly the values and ethos of our Academy.  They are also the names of our three Houses, constantly reminding us all of the principles that underpin what we do each day.

Our shared ethos and values remind us of the important links between student, school and parents or carers. They ensures a sense of belonging and common purpose throughout the Academy, with the aim of raising the achievement and confidence of all students. 

As we continue to nurture the enthusiasm and energy of all our students, we attempt to establish a firm platform on which they are make a continuous and positive contribution to the Academy, local community and the wider national or international community.  Our shared ethos and values allow students to develop as purposeful members of society and actively engage with common core British values.

Our Shared Vision

• To enjoy coming to school and the learning expereinces available to them
• To be enriched with a wealth of opportunities insde and outside of lessons and the curriculum, so that all talents are identified and nurtured
• To achieve high standards:

  - Academically - in terms of examinations results

  - Personally - through their respect for others and their environment

  - Socially - through their contribution to the life of the school and wider community
