As an Accountant, qualified from both an academic and gained experience perspective, I have knowledge of working across 3 sectors, the Service sector/Manufacturing sector and for the past 20 years within the Public sector in Education. I have led finance functions within Plc’s, Limited Companies and more recently within Education working in a maintained Secondary School, an Academy Trust and currently within the North Essex Multi Academy Trust.
I have significant experience of strategic Financial Management and Compliance in Education, and am able to utilise resources effectively to drive School improvement. I have also worked effectively with the Local Education Authority and the Department for Education on pilot schemes to enhance the Business Management profession within Education.
I have had 5 years previous governance experience as Vice Chairman of a Primary school.
